On this weeks episode - Katherine Haber MBE
One of the 4 Calling Birds, Meredith Hepner Chapman, is joined by Katherine Haber MBE.
Katy talks about being the daughter of Holocaust survivors, her early years and how she got in to the film industry. We also hear what it was like to work with Sam Peckinpah (Convoy, Strawdogs, Pat Garrett and Billy the Kid) and how Bob Dylan didn't understand continuity. How Katy met Steve McQueen and how she was his only "girl friend." And, of course, Blade Runner and how Rutger Hauer almost didn’t get the part of Roy Batty.
Katy received an MBE in 2012 for her services to the community in Los Angeles. Including her work with homeless shelter Dome Village and The Compton Cricket Club, made up entirely of LA’s toughest gangs.
Afterwards, Meredith joins the rest of the Birds to discuss the interview. Along with chatting about Steven's love of Dutch buns....
